Things to do This Fall in Monroeville

Summer has come to an end here in Pittsburgh but we have so many wonderful ideas for the fall. If you’ve just moved to the vibrant neighborhood that is Monroeville, we put together a list of fun things to do with the kids, with the spouse and with your friends.

Author Kelly Haywiser on “You Are So Much More”

Sept. 13th, 7-8:30 p.m., Free

Monroeville Public Library Gallery Space

The inspirational author will share her insight on her new book “You are So Much More: A Woman’s Holistic Guide to Peace, Passion and Purpose.” Attendees will learn how to manage life’s challenges through simple practices of self-discovery.

Soul Line Dance Class

Sept. 27th, 7-8:30 p.m., Free

Monroeville Public Library Gallery Space

Grab an autumnal cider drink with friends before heading to this dance class that will make sure you are well-versed in line dances. Anything from the Cupid Shuffle to the Electric Slide to the Wobble will be covered. Bring your whole group and make sure you’re more than prepared for your next wedding!

Holiday House Reunion Party

Oct. 13th, 5-11 p.m., $30

Monroeville Convention Center

This tribute to Motown show will feature club-style tables and chairs and a cash bar. There will also be dining options, so come early and have dinner with your significant other before you enjoy the show!

Pumpkin Decorating Night

Oct. 26th, 6-7 p.m., $9

Monroeville Community Park

Bring your own pumpkin to carve and/or decorate. Leave your decorated pumpkins to be judged in a Halloween family fun night pumpkin judging contest. Paint and supplies will be provided. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
